WE FILLED!!Dynamic Financial District law firm seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk with at least 3 -5 years of law firm experience. Reports to Director of Finance. Must be detail oriented with superior Word, Excel and LegalMaster software skills. Requires a self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.

Will be responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely preparation of weekly and YTD summary reports; keep log of daily cash receipts; import, print, and distribute attorney timesheets; prepare cash receipts spreadsheet, prepare daily deposit; assist attorneys with collections, deposit transfers into money market accounts; reconcile monthly AR (monthly billing, cash receipts, write-offs; create reports for the finance committee based on client data.

Basic Requirements Include:

* High school diploma
* At least five years of accounting experience in a law firm environment
* At least three years of legal billing and/or accounts receivable experience required.
* Knowledge of legal billing software. LegalMaster software strongly preferred.
* Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook required and a typing speed of 60 wpm with 80% accuracy

Requirements:

  • Certified to practice law in California

  • Previous personal injury law experience required (at least 3 years)

  • First chair trial experience preferred; second chair required

  • Strong writing and oral argument skills required, candidate must be able to organize thoughts and argument, and articulate well
